On behalf of UNYCOBA Teddy Bear Drive Committee, we would like to extend our most heartfelt thank you to each and every person that donated towards this event.
On December 20th, the committee delivered 200 Teddy Bears to Oshei Children’s Hospital. We were able to to cover three floors, the Emergency Department and two other observation areas. Even with all of these areas, we still had enough extras to leave with staff to be handed out to more patients throughout the year.
This time of year can be challenging on anyone. Being able to bring comfort, smiles and joy to the children who are away from home due to illness or injury was something that each and every donation played a part in. Each and every officer that was able to present these bears where met with many thank you’s, tears and many other emotions. We wish that everyone that donated could feel the appreciation from every child and family.
Since we were able to go above and beyond with donations again this year, we decided to share the spirit with other local hospitals and organizations including Sisters Of Charity NICU, Roswell Cancer institute and Wings of Hope.
UNYCOBA would again like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for the success of this project and look forward to working with you again next year.
